3: Books as Information Sources:
Section 2 of 6, THE LIBRARY CATALOG, page 1 of 5.
THE LIBRARY CATALOG
The Library Catalog is online. There are no cards, so there is no card catalog as such.
The Online Catalog serves many purposes, including:
- Identifying print books held by the TROY Libraries.
- Identifying other resources, such as government documents and audio-visual materials.
- Identifying electronic books (eBooks) available from online databases.
- Identifying journals available in print or electronic format from TROY.
This module of the tutorial focuses on books, both print and electronic.
This is where you find the catalog! The catalog can be accessed from any of the TROY Library Web sites (Troy, Dothan, Montgomery, or Global Campus), or simply by selecting the Online Catalog link from the "Welcome to Troy University Libraries" main page <http://library.troy.edu/>.
All of the campus Library Web sites can be accessed via that same page as well.
