Mr. Eubanks earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University, Dothan Campus in 1996. Later, Mr. Eubanks earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama in 2010. Currently, Mr. Eubanks has more than 16 years of experience in child welfare and mental health social work. Mr. Eubanks has served the faculty as a lecturer since 2012. Currently, Mr. Eubanks is licensed as a Licensed Certified Social Worker and a Private Independent Practitioner with the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners.

Dr. BC Farnham has been serving Troy University and its students for greater than a decade. He is a national award winning lecturer and author, with primary focus in the areas of death and dying; health care leadership; organizational capacity building; and persons with disabilities and/or medically-fragile conditions. Dr. Farnham hold’s advanced degrees from The University of Alabama (MSW), Troy University (MBA), and Northcentral University (EdD). His work has been featured in venues ranging from CBS Television to The Journal of Social Work in End of Life & Palliative Care. Additionally, Dr. Farnham is a retained subject-matter expert for some of the largest health care organizations in the US, with primary focus in the areas of corporate staff development and training; federal compliance program development and management; and quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI).

Mrs. Hewes received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995 and her Master of Social Work from University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) in 1998, specializing in gerontology. Since that time, she has held numerous clinical and supervisory positions throughout Alabama in the fields of mental health, veterans’ health, home health, hospice, public health, and dialysis. Mrs. Hewes has been licensed as a social worker in Alabama since 1995. She currently teaches Social Work and Human Service courses at the graduate and undergraduate level.

Jalonta Jackson received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2004 and 2005, respectively. She has taught Diversity, Ethics, and Social Work with Groups. She has over eight years of practice experience working with high risk women in the criminal justice system. Prior to coming to Troy University as an Instructor, she was a Probation Officer in the Chicagoland area.

Dr. Lauren A. Ricciardelli is a licensed master of social work (LMSW) in the state of Georgia and an assistant professor of social work and human services at Troy University. She has professional experience working in the community settings to provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities appropriate and individualized living supports and services, as well as providing wrap-around services for youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice. Dr. Ricciardelli's research is focused on the intersections of: social welfare, disability, and criminal justice policy; clinical and legal determinations of intellectual disability; disability and criminal justice advocacy; social inclusion and critical theory; and, community-based service provision, workforce integration, and postsecondary education. She is also interested in U.S. immigration policy and the present adoption of criminal justice standards and norms in the adjudication process. Dr. Ricciardelli has published her writing on intellectual disability and the death penalty in academic journals, has presented her research at national, academic conferences, and currently serves as a Policy and Positions committee member with The Arc in addition to serving as a Human Rights committee member with Georgia Options based in Athens, Georgia.
