Dr. Alan Belsches is a Professor of English who has formerly served in administrative roles such as Department Chair of English, Associate Dean and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Associate Provost.  He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and teaches courses in American literature with a specialty of Southern literature. abelsches@troy.edu

Dr. William Lipscomb is an Assistant Professor of Communication and teaches courses in Speech Communication, Theater, and Journalism.  He has Bachelor's degrees in Speech Communication and Broadcast Journalism, as well as a Master's degree in Speech Communication Theory, all from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He worked in television news on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and has extensive experience as an actor and director.  He received a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Louisiana State University. blipscomb@troy.edu

Dr. James N. Ortego II is an Associate Professor of English who also serves as Interim Chair of the Department of English. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English from the University of New Orleans with minors in Classical Studies and American Literature, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. Dr. Ortego teaches courses in Medieval and Renaissance Studies as well as composition; his research interests include textual studies of Shakespeare and Chaucer and cultural and folklore studies of Medieval Icelandic Literature. jortego@troy.edu

Dr. Kristin Ross is an Assistant Professor of English and teaches courses in British and American literature. She has a B.A. and an M.A. in English literature from the University of New Orleans. She holds a Ph.D. in English literature from Louisiana State University with specialties in 19th-Century British literature, feminist theory, and gender studies. kross63348@troy.edu

Martha Turner teaches courses in British, American, and world literature.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from Edward Waters College and a Master’s degree in English from the University of Tampa. She is presently working on her Ph.D in American literature at Auburn University. mturner@troy.edu
