NEI donates a Robotics Total Station -- Spring 2010

Navigation Electronics Inc. (NEI) is one of the Program's many hardware suppliers. Their sales representative -- Mr. Louis Feirman, has been working with the Program for a long time. He is a very helpful and resourceful person. It was during one our many meetings that Mr. Feirman approached the Program to discuss the possibility of investigating the donation of a Robotic Total Station. The donation will be made by Trimble Navigation Limited, Westminster Colorado. NEI is a distributor of Trimble equipment. It was during our Spring 2010 Surveying and Geomatics Sciences Program Open House that he had publicly announced that NEI will be officially donating a Robotic Total Station which cost approximately $21,000.00. This webpage is in celebration of the generosity which NEI have given the Surveying and Geomatics Sciences Program. Intergraph Corporation has donated to Troy University a comprehensive bundle of leading-edge geospatial software -- Spring 2010

Through the Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure (SG&I) Education program, Intergraph Corporation has donated to Troy University a comprehensive bundle of leading-edge geospatial software to support innovative teaching practices. The SG&I Education Grant illustrates Intergraph’s continued commitment to the advancement of geographic information sciences in the classroom.

Software provided for this grant includes one site license of GeoMedia Professional and one 2-map server license of GeoMedia WebMap Professional, as well as 52-week expiring student licenses of GeoMedia Professional. The commercial value of this software is $56,985.


Pictometry International (Rochester, NY), in cooperation with the City of Montgomery, Alabama, has donated it Visual Intelligence software and a complete set of intelligent oblique imagery of Montgomery.

In it's continued effort to support higher education and the advancement of the Geospatial sciences, Pictometry has donated to Troy University, Surveying and Geomatics Sciences Program, 20 seat licenses of its Electronic Field Study software and a complete data set of intelligent oblique imagery. The imagery is of Montgomery Alabama and includes both oblique and orthogonal intelligent images. This donation will allow students to learn the latest GIS visualization technology while working with 'real world' data and imagery. The commercial value of this donation is $166,115.00.
