The Student Government Association has an initiative to support our troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan - the Troy University Troy for Troops challenge coins. Challenge coins are a very popular item and our soldiers who have received the coin already have been most appreciative. Challenge coins are collector’s items for military men and women. They make a wonderful gift to an individual who has a military background. Cost for a challenge coin is $10 and orders are being taken now. Profits from this sale will buy coins to send to our service men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan. Coins are an inch and a half in diameter.
Here's how to order:
- Those on the Troy, Dothan, Montgomery, or Phenix City campuses should mail a check ($10 for each coin) to Troy University SGA, Trojan Center 215 Troy, AL 36082. Enclose a note, with your name, e-mail address, phone number, and Campus Location. When we receive the coins, we will ship to a central location on each campus where you may pick up the coin. When we ship the coins to your campus we will notify you by e-mail the name of the contact person who will distribute the coins. Make your check payable to Troy University SGA.
- If you are not on one of the Alabama campuses please send a check ($13 for each coin to cover shipping/handling costs). Include your name e-mail, phone and mailing address to send the coin to. Make your check payable to the Troy University SGA and send your order to:

We are not able to take e-checks or credit cards.
If you have a loved one currently serving in Iraq or Afghanistan, please e-mail us their name and address and be sure to send us your name. We will send them a coin and indicate that you requested that a coin be sent to them. Coins will be sent throughout the year. You do not have to purchase a coin for us to send a coin to your loved one.
