Online Application Essay Guidelines Summer 2013 & Fall/AY 2013-2014 Application Available Students are now able to access the Summer 2013 and Fall/AY 2013-2014 Gilman online application. Applications are due March 5, 2013 for students and the certifying advisor deadline is March 12th. Please encourage your students to apply before the deadline as late applications will not be accepted. Killam Fellowships Program The Killam Fellowships Program offers American undergraduate students the opportunity to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in Canada. The fellowship carries a value of $5,000 per semester, and includes health insurance for the duration of the exchange. The program also includes a three-day seminar in Ottawa (Canada's capital) and Washington, DC, and additional funding to explore other parts of Canada. Freeman-ASIA Program
The Institute of International Education is pleased to announce that funding for the Freeman-ASIA Program has been approved for two years, beginning with the Summer 2012 term. The application system will open in January 2012, and grants will be offered for Summer, Semester, and Academic Year terms. Detailed information will be available on December 1, 2012 on the program website at: http://www.iie.org/programs/freeman-asia The Freeman-ASIA Program, generously supported by the Freeman Foundation and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE), aims to increase the number of U.S. undergraduates who study in East and Southeast Asia by providing them with the information and financial assistance they will need. Award amounts vary from up to $3,000 for a summer program, up to $5,000 for a semester/quarter program, and up to $7,000 for an academic year program. From 2001 to 2012, Freeman-ASIA provided scholarships for more than 4,000 U.S. undergraduate students to study in East and Southeast Asia. |
