Troy University offers a nine week
Teacher Recertification Course
at Bethel High School
1067 Big Bethel Road, Hampton VA

EDU 6629: The Master Teacher (3 credit hours)

This course will cover a multitude of important characteristics, skills and practices related to teaching. Instruction may include lecture, discussion, field trips, videos, guest speakers, modeling, and web-enhanced instruction (dependent on faculty).

Course highlights include:

  • Refine your teaching philosophy
  • Identify teaching traits that get results
  • Discover best practices
  • Determine how to teach for results
  • Appreciate the importance of the master teacher as a learner

Course starts in August 2012

This course will be taught by Dr. John Bailey, Principal, Bethel High School. Dr. Bailey is a distinguished educator who has worked for Hampton City Schools since 1993.

This course is one of the courses in our twelve-course Masters of Education program and can be taken as part of the program or independently.

Troy University is regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and is a public, not for profit institution. Check with your local recertification advisor.
