Directions to Classrooms at Oceana Naval Air Station:

Directions to Oceana From Interstate 64 take 264 (previously Rt. 44) east to First Colonial Rd. (Exit 21A). There is a traffic light at the base of the exit. Get into the right lane on First Colonial and proceed across Virginia Beach Blvd. and continue until the road winds you onto Oceana Blvd. Follow Oceana Blvd for about 3 miles and exit (veer) right after you pass the Oceana stables. You are now on Tomcat Blvd. This is the main road leading into the front gate of the base.

Continue approximately 3 miles until you see the sign that says Main Gate Oceana.

Building 527— Enter through main gate, turn left at fourth intersection, proceed to "5th" street, building is on the right, MWR Training.

Building 531— Enter through main gate, turn left at third intersection, building is located across from gas station. Park opposite the bowling alley; enter through double doors facing parking lot.

Building 230—Enter through main gate. Go past third intersection and building 230 is on the right, sign says Base Administration. There is a flagpole in front.

Base Access - Passes

The NAS Oceana Pass & ID office will issue passes for Oceana and Dam Neck both installations.

1. On the last day of registration, the site representative faxes the class rosters to NAS Oceana Pass & ID office.

2. All students must report to the NAS Oceana Pass & ID office during normal duty hours—7:00 am-3:45 pm—Monday-Friday to obtain a pass. This pass is good for the duration of the term and is subject to change due to the heightened security.

Note: In most cases, the gate sentry may issue one-day passes for students who are unable to secure the term pass in advance.
