DIRECTIONS TO FORT BELVOIR

Fort Belvoir is located on US Route 1 approximately 15 miles SW of DC and about 5 miles south of the Beltway intersection of I-95 and I-495. 

All non-DoD registered vehicles must enter through Tulley Gate.   If you are do not have a  military sticker on your vehicle, you will need to present your valid drivers license to the gate guard to gain access to the base.

Non-DoD Registered Vehicles

Tulley Gate
One-way traffic enters through Tulley Gate from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Visitors must use the far right lane.  The gate guard will request your valid drivers license and will scan it so you can gain base access.. 

After receiving the visitor pass, continue on Pohick Road to the third traffic light (Belvoir Road).  The education center is at the 1 o’clock position.  Turn right onto Belvoir Road.  Take the first left onto Langfitt, entrance to the parking lot is on the left.  Enter through the center double doors.  The multi-purpose room is to the left at the end of the hall.

From the south:
Take I-95 North to 7100 East (Fairfax County Parkway).  7100 dead-ends at Route 1.  Turn left onto Route 1 North and take the next right (Tulley Gate) onto Fort Belvoir. 

 

From Old Town Alexandria:
Take the George Washington Parkway past Mount Vernon, the Estate.  Mount Vernon Highway dead-ends into US Route 1.  Turn left onto US Route 1 South.  The second traffic light is Belvoir Road.  DoD registered vehicles may enter through the Pence Gate, all vehicles others must continue to the next light, Beulah Road/Pohick Road, and turn left into Tulley Gate.   

From the Springfield/Franconia Parkway:
Take the Springfield/Franconia Parkway northeast past the Springfield Metro Station.  At the first traffic light after the metro station, turn right onto Beulah.  Follow Beulah for approximately 3 miles where it runs direction into Woodlawn Road.  DoD decal vehicles may enter this gate.  All other vehicles must turn right onto Telegraph Road.  Continue on Telegraph Road approximately 2 miles to 7100 Fairfax County Parkway.  Turn left onto 7100 Fairfax County Parkway East.  7100 ends at US Route 1.  Turn left onto US Route 1 North, and take the next right into Tulley Gate

From the Beltway (I-95) east side:
Take the Beltway South over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and take the Route 1, South Exit.  Follow US Route 1 for approximately 7 miles.  Turn left onto Beulah/Pohick Road to enter into Tulley Gate.

From the north and Beltway (I-495) west side:
Take I-395 south and continue past Springfield on I-95 to 7100 East (Fairfax County Parkway) or on the Beltway take I-495 to I-95 south and proceed southbound until reaching 7100 East.  7100 dead-ends at US Rout 1.  Turn left onto Route 1 North and take the next right into Tulley Gate.

DoD Registered Vehicles

From the south:
Take I-95 North to 7100 East (Fairfax County Parkway).  7100 dead-ends at Route 1.  Turn left onto Route 1 North and take the next right (Tulley Gate) onto Fort Belvoir. 

From Old Town Alexandria:

Stay on Belvoir Road until reaching the traffic light.  The education center is at this intersection at your 11 o’clock position.  Proceed straight ahead past the building then turn left onto Langfitt.  Entrance to the parking area is on the left.  Enter through the center double doors.  The multi-purpose room is to the left at the end of the hall.

 

From the Springfield/Franconia Parkway:

After entering the gate, continue past the golf courses to the first light.  Turn left onto Kingman Road, at the next light turn right onto Gunston Road.  Continue on Gunston Road approximately two miles to Pohick/Twelfth Street.  Turn left.  The education center is at the intersection of Twelfth Street and Belvoir Road.  Continue to the next light, turn right onto Belvoir Road, proceed past the building.  Take the first left onto Langfitt.  The parking entrance is on the left.  Enter through the center double doors.  The multi-purpose room is to the left at the end of the hall.

From the Beltway (I-95) east side:
Take the Beltway South over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and take the US Route 1 South exit.  Follow US Route 1 south approximately 7 miles.  Turn left into Pence Gate.
