SpectraCare

SpectraCare Health Systems is a regional, community-based system that provides mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual disability services in Southeast Alabama in Barbour, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston Counties.​


Pathway Inc.

Is a residential adolescent treatment facility. A licensed clinical psychologist supervises a comprehensive clinical assessment and renders diagnoses. The evaluations are the fundamental basis for developing individualized treatment plans for each client. Clinical Director actively supervises the provision of group, individualized, and family therapies by certified, masters level therapists. Weekly treatment team meetings are designed to ensure participation, coordination, continuity and quality of care. This process engages staff members, families and clients in identifying specific needs and establishing goals leading to positive family outcomes. Pathway is renowned for its rich and colorful history of vocational development. Pathway is licensed by the Alabama State Department of Education to provide both regular and special education classes.


Youth Villages

Youth Villages delivers a variety of services to emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families with the goal of restoring a supportive family system around each child. Programs include intensive in-home services for infants to 18-year-olds, transitional living services for former foster children, residential treatment campuses, and intensive residential treatment centers. Other programs include specialized crisis services, foster care, adoption, and mentoring. Youth Villages serves more than 20,000 children and families each year from more than 20 states and Washington, D.C.


Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center

Laurel Oaks is a 100+ bed psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center for children and adolescents ages 4 to 18, who have severe psychiatric disorders, developmental delays, substance abuse problems, high risk behaviors, or who are victims of abuse and/or neglect. The site houses a school, cafeteria, and recreational areas. Treatment services include medication management, individual, group and family therapies, group psycho-education (with focus on development of social, communication, and daily living skills, problem solving and anger management/ coping skills), and family support and education.


Living Waters

Living Waters, located in Headland, Alabama, offers Christian counseling services in the following areas: marriage and family, individual, adolescent, Employee Assistance Programs, mental health, substance abuse, and art therapy. They also provide a number on non-clinical services including support groups, mentoring programs, pastor and minister care, lay counseling, community benevolence, and sexual addiction counseling. Living Waters also serves as the Henry County Family Services Center, a referral resource for social service needs.


Behavioral Medicine Unit

The Behavioral Medicine Unit at Southeast Alabama Medical Center is a medically supervised and licensed facility offering individual program plans for adults 19 years and older. The mission of the Behavioral Health team is to provide adult crisis intervention, stabilization, and treatment. The team consists of board-certified psychiatrists, certified psychiatric nurses, a mental health clinical specialist, licensed professional counselors, occupational therapists, and mental health associates who implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress toward individual treatment goals.


AltaCare

AltaCare provides outpatient psychiatric programs for adults, adolescents, and children dealing with depression, acute stress and anxiety, loss or grief issues, and other psychiatric or behavioral problems. AltaCare also provides chemical dependency services to treat substance abuse issues based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).


The Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention

The Exchange Center specializes in caring for victims of abuse and their families. Each year, they care for over 600 people of all ages and genders through free counseling, support groups, parenting classes, in-home support for families at high risk for abuse, and public trainings that include abuse identification and reporting.


Child & Family Services of Dothan

Child & Family Services offers individual therapy, educational consultation, tutoring, learning and study skills training, Employee Assistance services, marital and family counseling, and group therapy. They also offer psychological assessments and specialized interventions for children on the autism spectrum through the LEAP program. The Learning Center provides after-school tutoring in all subject areas, home school support, test proctoring, course credits, and a variety of summer programs.


Southeast Psychiatric Services (SPS)

Southeast Psychiatric Services has 6 psychiatrists on staff, including general, geriatric, and a board certified child & adolescent psychiatrist. SPS provides both inpatient and outpatient treatment for all ages. SPS also offers virtual reality therapy for the treatment of phobias, as well as light and sound therapy for the treatment of depression, chronic fatigue, and stress.


Chemical Addictions Recovery Effort (CARE)

CARE is a non-profit agency that provides prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery services for individuals and their families who are dealing with addiction. CARE services are available in 6 Florida counties: Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson and Washington. Services include outpatient counseling for adolescents and adults, a 15-bed detox unit, and a 24-hour residential facility for women in recovery. Through its ALPHA program, CARE seeks to prevent drug use among high-risk youth in grades 4-6 by offering individual and group counseling sessions. CARE also offers educational programs aimed at prevention, drug-free workplace seminars, Drug Alcohol Traffic Education for new drivers, and Employee Assistance Programs.


Easterling Correctional

Easterling Correctional Facility, located near Clio, Alabama, houses 652 medium custody inmates in a 30-acre campus-style complex. Easterling has a dorm dedicated to drug treatment for inmates who have a history of substance abuse. A staff of drug counselors manages approximately 170 inmates involved in the program, including aftercare.

Army Substance Abuse Program

​Located at the Lyster Army Health Clinic, the Army Substance Abuse Program provides preventive training and outpatient treatment for alcohol and drug rehabilitation. Certified addiction counselors provide assessments, individual and group counseling, and relapse prevention with the goal of strengthening the overall fitness and productivity of the Army’s workforce and enhancing the combat readiness of its soldiers.
