LIEUTENANT COLONEL CARLOS GARCIA

Lieutenant Colonel Carlos R. Garcia is the Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies for the U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 017 at Troy University, Troy, Alabama.

Lieutenant Colonel Garcia is a career space officer. He has held various positions from the wing level to joint combatant command level. These assignments include Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Crew Commander at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, Inspector General at Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, and Chief of the Command Center for United States Central Command at Macdill Air Force Base, Florida. Lieutenant Colonel Garcia also served as a Strategic Direction Center Operations Officer at NATO Military Headquarters, Belgium.

Prior to taking command Lieutenant Colonel Garcia was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida where he was a Space Mission Area Expert at United States Central Command.

Lieutenant Colonel Garcia is married to Amber Garcia and has two daughters: Kelsey and Hannah.
